Leave a copy of messages on serverDoes not delete message after downloading it and keeps track of which messages it has already downloaded.
Remove from server afterDeletes messages that have already been downloaded but are older than the specified amount.
Discard messages greater thanIf enabled and a messages is greater than the size specified only the header is downloaded and sent to the recipients with the message body stating that the message was truncated due to its size.

Use secure connection (SSL) If enabled encrypts messages as they are being downloaded. Your ISP may or may not support this feature. If connecting to Google (GMail) this feature must be enabled.
Protocol Specifies the type of protocol to use when accessing the account at your ISP. The two protocols supported are POP3 and IMAP. If connecting to Google (GMail) select IMAP.
Port If Protocol is set to POP3 then this value should be 110. If Protocol is set to IMAP then this value should be 143. If SSL is enabled then the port number is 995 for POP3 and 993 for IMAP. For GMail this is 993.
TimeoutSpecifies the amount to time to wait for a response when communicating with the account at your ISP.
